Ekaterina Zhuravskaya
Directrice d'études, EHESS
Professor of Economics, Paris School of Economics
I am an empirical political economist.
I study how beliefs are formed and how they shape social, political, and economic outcomes. My work centers on two interconnected themes:
1) political persuasion across traditional media, social media, and, more recently, AI;
2) economic history, especially how institutions, policies, social environments, and historical shocks leave lasting imprints on beliefs and norms.
I use causal methods to address questions at the intersection of economics, political science, and sociology.
Since 2023, I have been serving as a coeditor of the American Economic Review.
